xQuiD Eclipse Plug-in provides a complete Integrated Development Environment based on xQuiD Core, powering developers productivity by adding drag & drop web 2.0 development capabilites to the Eclipse Platform.

With xQuiD Eclipse Plug-in you can build xQuiD based RIA with all facilities offered by an Ajax IDE:

• xQuiD Eclipse plug-in provides a visual editor integrated into eclipse/RAD (IBM Rational Application Developer) which allows the use of a single tool during all the development life cycle.
• Helps to standardize the way of codifying and structuring RIAs development with JavaScript.
• Allows developing under the paradigm of reusable visual components. Complex user interfaces are constructed by assembling simple visual components.
• xQuiD abstracts the differences among browsers thanks to its cross-browser components.
• xQuiD is extensible and allows to add your own visual components developed with xQuiD Core
• User interfaces designed with xQuiD Eclipse Plug-in are 100% JavaScript, so can be integrated with different server-side architectures(J2EE, ASP.NET,...)

• The layout of the components is absolute. The components are placed on the panel and their position is determined only by their placement on said panel. It is no longer necessary to use tables or to code some extra css in order to position UI components correctly.
• xQuiD has a set of visual components (widgets) meeting all the basics needs of any RIA application.
• Due to its extensibility, it allows to construct new components in a simple way, either extending those that already exists or creating them from scratch.
• The development of UIs based on components has demonstrated to be the most productive model of those already in existence at the time of their development. With XQuid each developed component can be used as a new palette component.
